Some people are way too serious

There is way to many serious people out there, and especially in the genre of music that I listen to. A lot of metal heads and punkers tends to be very narrow minded when it comes to music. And also, I read at different forums and hear some "true" metal lovers talk about how angry they get when listening to that and that band, or how they feel misanthropy etc. In my case it's a different cup of tea. I smile when I hear a great metal or punk band. The music has so much energy that it fills me up, and I can go through all my daily routines with a smile "inside" my head.

High Tide - Sea Shanties

I just bought this album off amazon.co.uk today, used, and I'm very excited to hear the full album. So far I've just heard one of the songs on Fenriz - the Bible compilation, and that was for sure a mind blowing experince. The violin on one ear and the guitar on the other earplug battling togheter. This is psychedelic driven music in the veins of the Doors.

And also look at the album art, it's absolutely amazing:

Sea Shanties

This is heavy, this is rock, this is the law. Obey!

This is what I listen to at the moment

Since I don't have a lot of time to write on this blog, I will simply list up some bands that I listen to at the moment. I do recommend everyone to have a listen. But be aware, it's difficult to get hand of a copy, and most of the albums are sold with sky high prices.

Exumer - Possessed by Fire
Violent Force - Malevolent Assault of Tomorrow
Coroner - R.I.P and No More Color
Deathrow - Raging Steel
Evildead - Annihilation of Civilization
Iron Angel - Hellish Crossfire
Cryptic Slaughter - Convicted
Sabbat - History of a Time to Come and Dreamweaver

This is some fantastic thrash recordings. Man, is the world full of hidden treasurs.

This is not the greatest song among all the artist mentioned above, but it sure is political, which I like: Annihilation of Civilization!

Coroner - R.I.P

For fuck's sake, I want to ... because this is excellent thrash. Why on earth have not I discovered them before now? It's really a shame. What really annoys me with the tharsh bands of the 80's is that it's almost impossible to get hold of copy. I want this album in my collection!

R.I.P.

Will be updated!

Hawkwind 1971 - 1975

I got into Hawkwind through a friend of mine. We had just gotten home from a night out, and he put Doremi Fasol Latido on his record and I recall going into some sort of a trance. It was unlike anything I had heard before. Personally I enjoy Hawkwind when Lemmy was in it, and espesially Doremi Fasol Latido. That said, the other records have some outstanding tracks, e.g. Orgone Accumulator and Silver Machine.

I really wish I could be at one of their concert when Stacia was dancing naked on the stage while Hawkwind kept pumping out these psychedelic tunes with Lemmy on bass guitar. I read in Lemmys book, White Line Fever, that it was common to hand out acid in door before concerts. I cannot imagine how crazy these concerts would turn out, even though I get an idea when watching their promo video for Silver Machine. I think they wanted the audience to get an in depth feel on how to be on a trip to "space".

Deströyer 666

Here are three absolutely amazing albums by an amazing band.
It's a mix between black metal, thrash, death, I don't know what, and I really don't care. What I do know is that it's so headbanging good that your neck will be sore for a while to come.
